As previously pointed out, the employer has a duty to maintain his electrical equipment so as to prevent danger but the regulation does not outline the method by which this can be achieved.   Although safety testing was not detailed specifically, the implication is that the only means of accurate determining when the maintenance of equipment was required was to perform regular inspection and testing of appliances.
